As a first healthy step out of rehab on Friday evening, I went to Bebar for some “rising ocean levels is bad” party. I am not sure how exactly I ended up there: mostly the combination of Mark H. and Kevin W.’s awful influences. One minute we were dancing on “Big In Japan” in my living room with underage drinker Sushi and the next minute Mark H. was scavenging on twinks under Bebar awful lighting trying to drop ruffies in their drinks.
The number of new gays in the Bar amazed me. I had that vague impression from my trips to Results lately but it confirmed it: there are many new gays in the district and worse, they are all good looking, reckless and come from a smoke-free household. Just when I thought, it would not get any better. I am not sure from where they moved. Josh hinted on Sunday morning that surrounding states have a gay “catch and release in the district program” but I think it is a lie. More rationale explanations are a change in the House and Senate Leadership, the new school year and Fagat’s international gay recruitment drive (who incidentally is sleeping with Frenchbenj as if our little lives were not incestuous enough). I barely knew anyone there. Of course, there were also a few "regulars" drinking Shirley Temples in complete oblivion to the threat they are facing like Carlos U., Clint M., and Ryan P. (who was 27 in 2004).
The old gays still frighten me and I did not feel more at ease after a 2-week rehab facility stay. I compulsively tried to flirt but as usual, I sounded arrogant, self-absorbed and somewhat gay. Thank god, Jim M., who is some kind of a local Santa Claus, appeared and drove back Kevin W. and me on his magic sleigh to Kalorama. Overall, this little journey to Bebar made me feel a little overwhelmed: so little time and so much stalking on friendster to do.
You are a troublemaker.
Let's not start telling stories about who is sleeping with whom, shall we?

While we're at it, let's not divulge any more secret hookup strategies to the public at large.

Mark, like the world doesn't hear about your adventures as it is...
